How Dantes works · a two-minute read
Ask in plain English. Keep what's worth keeping. Let the Desk do the daily check.
The best models still can't do what a specific person knows how to do. Dantes is the network where that expertise is taught in plain conversation, tested against real evidence, and made available to any AI agent. This app is the same network used by a person: you ask in plain English, Dantes picks the skill that fits, runs it on real bars, and shows you the result with its chart and the facts that qualified it. What it can't verify, it won't claim.
Who it is for
Traders and investors who have a way of looking at the market and want it run for them every day, without writing code or babysitting charts. If you bring your own AI agent, it can call the same skills directly.
Why it exists
General intelligence plus proven human capability beats general intelligence alone. Models reason well and re-derive specialist, correctness-critical work badly: they invent numbers. A specific person’s judgement, taught once and tested against history, holds. Dantes gives AI agents — and you — that judgement, with its evidence attached, so the answer is one somebody actually earned.
What it will never do
Execute a trade. Move money. Invent a number. Claim a backtest it does not have. Grade a stock it has not studied. When a skill cannot answer honestly, Dantes says so and returns nothing rather than something made up.
Stage 1
Ask — a question, in your words
Type what you actually want to know, and let it be the question a chart app cannot answer: "Which of these three is closest to its 200-week average, and which has beaten earnings four quarters running with margins expanding?", "Which names are pulling back to long-term support?" Dantes finds the skill that answers that job, runs it on real daily bars, and shows the result as a card: the symbol, the as-of date, the facts that qualified it, and a chart drawn from the skill’s own geometry when there is structure to draw.
Most one-name questions are free. Market-wide sweeps are priced per run, and this page takes no payments, so a guest sees the price and a real dated sample from a past run instead of a fake result. Every answer carries a What Dantes did record: which skills ran, on what, and what they refused.
Stage 2
Keep — a search, or a single name
Under an answer that ran a skill sits Save this search. Saved, it appears on your Desk as a setup, and Dantes offers to re-run it every trading day. A search that runs a priced skill is saved but not re-run on a schedule; Dantes says so when you save it.
Any single card can go on your Desk with a one-line note in your own words, or on your private Watchlist with one click. Only a name Dantes actually showed you can be kept; neither room is a ticker box.
Stage 3
Desk — your board, checked once a day
Your Desk holds what you have kept. At 4:20pm Pacific, every weekday, every saved setup that is turned on runs once, and any new names land as full cards under the setup’s own name: the chart, the qualifying facts, and Dantes’ own grade once the rating pass has written it. A name Dantes has not rated says unrated rather than guessing.
Nothing on the Desk happens in real time, and nothing here watches the tape between runs. That is deliberate. Watchlist is your private list of names with their next earnings date. Calendar is next week’s earnings tape, flagged against both.
Finding your way
Where am I?
The underlined word in the top bar is the room you are in. Ask is the conversation. Everything else is something you kept.
What can I do here?
On Ask: type, or press a suggested question. Under any card: share it to the Desk or the Watchlist. Under any answer that ran a skill: save the search. On the Desk: run a setup by hand, turn it on or off, open its record to see exactly what it runs.
How do I get back?
D A N T E S in the top bar returns to Ask. New conversation starts a clean thread; History reopens an old one. How it works brings you back to this page.
Bring your own agent
Every skill here is also callable by an AI agent over MCP, with the same evidence attached. No account is needed to discover or read; priced skills are paid per call.
